Campbell County Community Cat Companion T/N/R Project

TNR is Trap/Neuter/Return for cats.

It is for community cats in our communities. These are the non-owned or feral, part feral cats that live in colonies of 2 or more who have people who are care givers by making sure they have food/water and shelter from the elements.

THIS IS NOT A CAT REMOVAL PROGRAM!

It is VERY important that these cats are returned to the outdoor location where they were living.

Please join our Facebook Group page.http://www.facebook.com/CCCommunityCatCompanions

TNR is the most humane method of helping to control the overpopulation of homeless and feral cats.

Please join our FB page link above the photo if you are the care giver of a colony of Cats in Campbell County Tennessee.

This program will be coordinated through the Campbell County Tennessee Animal Shelter.

There will be a contract to be gone over and signed, traps for loan and then returned to the shelter after the services are completed.

The spay/neuter services for this program will be provided by the Campbell County Tennessee Animal Shelter in their newly opened public spay/neuter clinic. There will be special “event” days for this program.

We are working on funding to subsidize the cost of the service, the shelter has special, discounted pricing for this program, and the service will include spay/neuter, rabies vaccination and left ear tipping.

If you wish to be placed on the waiting list, please call the shelter at 423-566-8018, leave your name, phone number and approximately how many cats are in the colony, be sure to state you want to be placed on the waiting list for the community cat project when you call.

When you join the facebook page there are several useful videos posted about how to properly trap the cats as well as an instruction video on how to set the trap. We advise everyone who has not done this in the past to view both videos so you can be familiar with the process.
